You just really have to play so tight.  Wait to pick up big hands and then make your moves.  Then as the field thins down and you get closer to the money, you can make some bluffs and what not, if you try to go all in off the bat you'll get messed up, wait foe hand then go, if you find you arnt getting anything just go with the blinds, call your small and check your big, eventually you will get amazing cards and kick some1's face in when they call your cards.

i try to play semi aggresive/semi passive in the first part...only because sometimes youll come into a few big hands at the beginning which you can build up ur stack with.....so playin the waiting game isnt necessarily beneficial.....but for those of you who do....it works for some.....the way i play makes me feel more consitent!!!

There are many different approaches to tournaments, both freerolls and buyins.  If you've found one that works for you and fits your personality and skill level, fine.  I play one way most of the time, but every once in a while, I like to experiment.  And what better place than in freerolls?

I think that being tight can hurt you in the long run, because people will take advantage of the flop if its low , and by playing tight you are trying to catch a hand which somone else still might have advantage over you , so i suggest play semi tight a little more aggressive toward the end

Play only premium hands (group1 hands) such as AA KK QQ JJ 10 10
AQ suited.
at least for the irst little whle.  Then open up to more hands as the field decreases.

Playing agressive is dangerous because, it can work only for a short period of time, if u play agressive at every hand, raising pre-flop everytime u will lost everything

Shhh, don't tell everyone. It really is pretty simple. I generally play tight, and just let the cards come. It doesn't always work out but generally it works better then getting hyper aggressive.

Dont always play the same... Experiment, here are times where I paly too tight and times where Im as loose as a goose.

Id suggest taking some chances early, But it depends on the tourny too.. If its one you want to excel in.. Play tight smart and premimum hands..

If you are going to play a hand play it aggresively. The best outcome to any hands is when the river is never turned.

you gotta play it tight at first in my opinion. watch your opponents learn who cant help bluffing and who plays smart poker. after a while the field will thin itself and you can actually play the game and the people.(because now you know how they are likely to respond to different situations). this is true of almost every tourney though not just freerolls.

I usually play aggressive at first, gamble a little bit. If I get big hands I would have a great chance in get into the money, if not then it didn't cost me anything.

Good luck
