When to Quit

Some sound advice from the PIMP?? Many of us play way past the point of being tired. I haven't played fresh in months!!!

There are many reasons for leaving a game.  Naturally, you leave when you think you're too tired to play effectively.  You leave if you're ahead, cash wise, and don't want to risk losing what you made.  Last but not least, you leave when you're losing, to cut down on further losses.

you dont always have to be playing that long sometimes your mind is just not there or something happenned at work or anything else that can distract you before you even start playing recognize the signs and get out early

quitting is also a good idea when ya been playin for days on end lol.......i've done that b 4 lol....i would recommend doing that

quiting for a while to  prevent boring and keep interesting..

I quit whenever I double what I had when I started or, When i lost about 30 percent of what I had when I started. But it is hard to quit so you have ot have real good control over yourself if you are losing and winning sometimes.

poekr is an amazinggame and i always liek to play it when i have nmothing to do especcailly if i can use it to try and make somre free money

When playing poker there are so many aspects to the game I very rarely get bored i just get frustrated and that is terrible for my game. When I start to play catch up poker I know it is time to quit although just b/c i know its time doesn't mean i do. And most generally this is when i lose the most money.

in a cash game i like to leave after a set time up or down.  i set a 2 hour time limit and play just that amount or ill have to quit when all the cash is gone.

how about when you get real close and just cant get it done
the frustration builds
you start reworking things and abandon the things you need to win

I think a day or 2 away is helpful. Especially when your getting sukked out all the time by donks with A-3 !! When it gets to the point you have A-K against A-8 ALL IN and you announce to the table ," here comes the 8 on the river." And sure enough it does it,s time to quit. Attitude gets so negative you start to expect the sukkout and think how i,m i going lose this time !!!

Best advice I have heard about AK is raise it up pre-flop and bet every round until someone else takes the lead (assuming you don't hit a pair) any comments?
