I ended up getting knocked out at a final table today with 3 A's because I slow played it & the other player ended up getting a flush. Is it better o be aggressive & go all in from the flop or before the flop. This was on hold-em.

I think it is a good idea to slow play if you have the nuts. This is because like the person before me said online can give some very bad beats.

slow playing can either be really affective or really bad..uve just gotta hope that on the turn or river the other guy catches something, but that something doesnt beat what u have

i slow play only when i can afford to lose... at ap if u slowplay with more than 1 caller a catch will usually occur

i never slow play aa would rather get called with a all in or win a small pot because sometimes winning a small pot is better than losing a big one

To slow play or not depends on the board.  If there are no draws i'll slow play a set.  If you've got flush and or connected cards, get the chips in now and force the draws out.  Of couse on absolute they will call and catch anyway.

its a mixed bag when you slow play.  Trips is the best thing to slow play, but only if your holding the pocket pair, a pair on the board usually slows down the betting

It always depends on the players you play in that hand. Take notes. If your not at the beggining of the tourney, you should have an idea about what time of player he is and how to play him.
This is my opinion at least.

If it was runner runner to make the flush then you didn't play it wrong. If it was 2 on the flop and you didn't play it strong then you might have made a mistake. The reality of the situation if it was 2 on the flop your opponent might not have folded no matter what. I flopped top set wit a board of Q 3 2 two of them being spades against 2 foes after i raised from early postion (5x). I under bet the pot, it was raise for about 40 percent of one guys stack the other called, I shoved the rest all in. (This was the first hand of the tournament.) They both called 5 on the turn and I forget the river. They both showed and split my cash with 46. One was in spades. Where did I go wrong? I honestly don't think that I could win the hand short of raising more preflop.
