Reading Players

You can't really read players online but just on the way their betting patterns are.  You could only read a player by their betting amounts and how often they've been raising.  No facial reads can be made.  haha

Betting patterns are a form of tell.  They may not be as obvious as someone's hands shaking, but if you look for them, you'll probably find a lot more.  Of course, you actually have to watch how people play instead of reading forums, doing e-mail, etc. so that you can figure out, for example, the difference between what a person has when they min-raise from middle position versus coming in with a larger raise of 3x or 4x the BB.  Or how often they raise as a semi-bluff with a drawing hand.  Or many, many other patterns that, once you're aware of them, improve your chances of success.

it's very hard online to read someone....ppl tell me that in live games they never can read me at all, in poker or euchre either one ........i try not to even read ppl because if they think you've got them read they'll change it anyway

It is very tough for most people to read someone,even harder for online games.I believe most are online players here,so just take your time and look for betting patterns in a person.And also most online rooms have some sort of way to take notes on an player. Use these notes to your advantage,they have helped me on numerous occasions.

yea there's definately one person online i can read every single hand, the guy plays on jetset & hasn't changed his style in at least 5 yrs the rest of us well i think most of us switch up sometimes

there is a ugy i play with whose hand shakes when he is both bluffing iwth nothing and when he has the nutz

sometimes reads can be confusing

Theres always a tell in bets no matter if its live or online best thing to do is feel som1 out make them go to showdowns and then ull start to see it all

reading is hard online no matter how u look at it lol

I cant read players. I play once a month with some friends and people from work. I've never been able to notice any reads. Whats the most abvious read ?

well u'd pretty much have to play with them over & over .....watch the way they bet call & raise, if it's consistent with certain hands then u've gotem read .......online it's so much different because in freerolls, ppl call with all kinds of trash
