miracles can happen to you

i just thought i would share a story from when i was dealing poker last night at my local indian casino.  i dealt out pocket 8s to a well liked regular player (i will call him john) who was having a run of bad luck.  the flop comes 2-7-8 rainbow.  he pushes all-in for about $230 and gets one caller, some loud-mouthed obnoxious punk kid, that was clearly annoying everyone.  the kid turns up his pocket aces and doesnt seem to worried to see himself up against a set of 8s.  i burn a card and the turn card comes out an ace.  the look on johns face went from elation to devastation.  meanwhile, the kid is acting the fool, and thinking he is gods gift to poker.  i burn and turn the river card, and to the suprise of everyone, the last 8 in the deck appears to beat the kid with quads.  im not sure if i was more happy that john won the pot, or that the punk went down hard.  lol
