Should i be calling raises with mid-low pockets or not?

I would usually call raises with these pocket pairs.  People will often raise with AK or something around there.  If this is the case, you are ahead of them pre-flop.

I agree lots like to bet up Ace and Paint or sometimes even double paint..If im the chip leader I like to double their raise to see how confident they are about their hand.. if they check post flop I like to really go after them.

usually through a raise you are looking at a coin flip at best, I play these like a suited connector or any other draw hand. watch how many callers to see if it is worth the pot to call, realizing that only a set is gonna make your hand strong. if you hit a set, slow down and crack high hands, if you don't id only bet if you see weakness, or the board is low randomness. at least you know most people are playing with high cards through a good raise. proceed with cation if at all

I agree with liqid I'd play these like a drawing hand, and all of my thought processes that go through my head for the drawing hands are what I like to use when playing pocket pairs, this applies to full tables.  Now, if I'm playing short handed or heads up (6 or less people), I'd definately raise with low pocket pairs.

If you have a loose table and a lot of players to the flop, the payoff can be huge with a small pocket pair (if you land trips), so I tend to call a lot of bets. With tighter players it's better to raise and get down to head-to-head or steal the blinds.

It is based on the equity the hand creates. Up front you should mix it up, with limps and raises. So will tell you to raise all the time to protect your hand. I don't find that you end up getting the necessary pot odds to make this play profitable often enough.
You need to learn to fold these hand from early position especially against an aggressive table. Loose table, limp often and hope to hit so you can cash big. Remember LOOK at the board, even though you might have top set you could be in a lot of danger, so sometimes coming with a large bet after flopping the set may be necessary to get rid of the draws.

Only times i play low pp's is when there are many players in the pot. But if i dont hit the set on the flop, its an easy lay-down..

I like to only call with this type of hand. If you don't hit you have no chance. If you do hit no one will expect you have a set and can win big.

I usually limp in and hope to flop trips. If there is no trips on the flop continue unless someon overbets the pot.

early position with low pockets, throw them in the bin.
only worth calling with them if its a really loose table

I usually limp in with mid-low pocket pairs just because it can be very profitable of it hits with 2 other higher cards. I call raises to for that same reason. Depending on how much the raise is compared to your stack you should make your own judgement on whether to call or not
