Low Pair

Do you ever call/bet with a low pair such as 2, 3, etc. I usually fold this hand but I have seen people win with hands that made absolutely no sense to me. I guess a lot of that is just because I am inexperienced and in the learning process (like a baby learning to walk).

i usually play these low pairs and heres my reason, they are no worse than pocket Qs if they r facin AK, the only way they r is if 2 pair comes on the community which rarely happends, also no1 expects it, if u raise big preflop and they call the flop comes 2 6 8 (u have pocket 2s) and u go all in they will call u w/ high cards becuz they think ur just tryin to steel the pot cuz u raised so much preflop, or maybe they will call because of pot odds, it depends

I usually play them from late positions, but if table is tught, I ll raise with them from early position. If you flo trips you are in great position, and best thing is they are no concern to others, who cares for 3, 2, 4, when he hs top pair? _________________ Of course we gotta pay rent, so money connects, but
I'd rather be broke and have a whole lot of respect

it all depends on how many ppl r at the table. if there is 5 or more i usally just fold low pair, less than 5 i'll raise.
we play limit at our local bar and then i'll fold any pocket pair under 9s, unless i have a gut feeling that i might hit one lol

I usually will play, if not too expensive with a low pair in my pockets. At least see the flop. Sometimes these low pairs can pay off...

low pair is just a waste usually, its just always so tempting to call a flop to see if u set a 3

When i have low pairs in the pocket it depends on my position and the stakes. If im in late position with few people in i willmost likely raise. Early position i may lay it down or just call. with low stakes ill call almost every time. and the opposite for high stakes

ill usually call with low pairs preflop under conditions unless a big raise preflop, but even if alot of people call a smaller raise ill still call as well just because if it hits, the reward can be great.

I will play them either late in posistion, only early when the blinds are low, heads up a must, but your right any high raised it might be a good thing to fold

For some reason I seem to have a lot of good luck playing pocket threes. About 95% of the time I seem to flop a set and of cource no one is really expecting it so I win olot of $$$

i like to limp in with a hand like pocket 2s....its not bad to see a flop though because u do have that chance of catching that 2
