In one day I went out of 3 tournies and missed a chance to triple up with pocket jacks.
First...down to 7 people, top 3 get paid.I have 5k and gol all-in...would have been close to chip lead with win, get called by pocket rockets.
Next tourney I get called with a frickin 9 2 off and lose.Later I am playing at jungle where you start with 2000 chips, second hand of tourney I get JJ again, 2 people move all in in front of me and I think for awhile and being gun shy I fold.Of course I woulod have won the hand.I went out of that same tourney when I am first to act and go all-in for 4k with JJ and get 2 callers, QQ and AJ, Im screwed! LOL.
Pocket Jacks really suck!

The thing with jacls is that you have to be more cautious with them than almostany other hand. Its a good hand, but easily beaten if not played right. Yoiu never want to put too much of your money into the pot with this hand unless your positive your going all in on the flop to try and take the whole pot no matter what.

I've lost to worse hands the last 4 times out with JJ. 66, 1010, A7 and 56s.
Online is very streaky, much more so then live poker, so I should win the next 10 with them. Saw them again beat AA today as they did me a few days ago. _________________ If it isn't Jacked up, I get the worst cards live.

It seems that people are split on the JJ issue. I've had both. I've gotten the set and i've also been beat. I guess it's up to lady luck regarding the pair of hooks.
yah win some you lose some.

JJ is so hard to fold!
The one time I went to Vegas I played 1/2 at Binon's Horseshoe on Fremont. I was only 20 at the time but they didnt hassel me.
I got up to about 60 bucks from 30, and then i get JJ. I was so excited and the flop came out Q 8 4 rainbow. I was like I have this won. Of course I call raises from the guy across from me with the Q. I lost 30 dollars.
This lesson really taught me to fold and wait for the better hands!

I always seem to run into a higher pocket pair or have somebody with overcards hit when I have JJ

JJ = player fairness policies

I too get burned regularly by JJ but how can you not call a pre flop raise with a pocket pair like this? I find sometimes they give it to me three or four times within an hour, if this happens to you too don't play it as I've found it's usually the poker rooms giving you semi-good hands you'll call and lose with based on their player fairness policies.
