is it better to play loose in freerolls or tight, and is it more efficient to play conservative or aggresive...freerolls only

To me, it all depends on the table... at first you dont want to play loose because you will have those lottery people who will call anything, so stay tight in the beginning unless you have a great hand cause mot likely yuo will be pushed all in.

u definately wanna play tight in the beginning in any freeroll.  sometimes i wont play the first 30 min w/out a AA, KK, AK .  usually after the break is when u can loosen up some.  also when i do play a hand early i always play it aggressive,  when u have good hands u have to play aggressive against loose players.

The best way to play in freerolls is most sertainly
TIGHT/AGGRESSIVE if u play this way u still
will get sucked out on, not much tho with this stile.                                  But you will be a winner in
the long run if you are only playing strong
hands and if you do change gear
knowing when to fold is the key.

I have tried both, but lately I seem to be having more luck playing loose at first and picking up a few chances to double up from the beginners first and playing tight towards the end.

To be succesful in any game of NL holdem the proven best way to play is tight-agressive. I see a lot of inexperienced players play tight but not follow up with agressive betting and end up complaining when they are outdrawn when the real problem is that they bet the hand incorrectly in the first place.

That's a good point Fubar.  You have to realize what kind of opponent you're up against, and use their weaknesses against them.  If I know a player will call me with almost any two cards, then I'll usually fire a MASSIVE SHELL into the pot.  You almost have to bet SO MUCH that even they have no choice but to fold.

It is quite frustrating though to be up against an inexperienced player who sucks out on you at the turn or river continuosly.  You almost feel like there's nothing you can do, and you're almost relegated to play "lottery" poker against them to beat them.

Freerolls are so much different than ring games.  There is nothing to loose so people are a lot more wild with their bets.  I recommend that you fold most of the time and then raise like crazy when you get a good hand.  Play tight and then play loose to keep them guessing.

i think it is best to play loose and agressive in freerolls. you have nothing to lose and its the fastest way to building a good chip stack.

There is no right way or wrong to play in any game including freerolls. Just play the opposite of the ppl on the table and you might do okay. Early in freerolls you just want to tight and try to avoid the all in donkeys.

You have to take a chance on getting lucky to win...Some people would say that you should just wait for the really good hands. On the games where I make it to the end, i have taken several chances on 99 or 88  and usually win..Just don't go all in. Only bet half of your stack.
