in Super System it says that u want to bet AA about 90% of the time and slow play about 10%.  now this all depends on position.  slow playing your AA is more valuable from early position.  u would call from early position hoping that some1 behind u would raise so u could push back.  other than early position it is usually a raising hand.  but u never want to play the AA (or any hand) the same way everytime.

i play all in with AA when i have little chips when i am in front of the tourney i chill hoping somone will raise...i don't like to see the flop with AA because it could be dangerous...so i will always try all in preflop...

One of the posts says it best... Depends on your situation.. Against a tight player, Dont be too passive because they are holding a big hand too, Against a loose player.. Let them raise the pot for you.

If there is more than one opponent in the pot, I wouldnt suggest slow-playing them.. Becuase we all here the A_A stories everyday.

If your short stacked... Dont be afraid to push.. One of the big stacks usually calls with decent cards and its a great chance to get back in the tourny.

Never ever slow play AA.
Big raise preflop, then all in, if everything seems fine.
I hate to get beaten by a flush, or straight.
But of course, it depends on the situation.

I have to agree with the general feeling of most who posted in this thread about pocket aces. Better to value bet your aces then have someone outdraw you on the flop, turn or river. Slow playing is a dangerous play, and when it goes wrong usually all ur chips are in the middle of the pot and its game over for you. AA look very pretty but remember, they're not invincible. Sometimes you do have to flop them especially if the flops gone bad making them less then the nut hand they started out.

Sometimes aces can stab you in the back, but what can I do, I am a happy guy when I see them!

I hate seein aces lose especially to rags
its frustrating some times
but keep faith they win most times
slow play can kill tho  Wink

Important thing to remember regardless how you decide to play 'em.  AA is only the best hand preflop.  Once the flop comes and you bet out, be prepared to lay them down if you figure you may be beat.  It's one of the hardest things to do, but necessary sometimes.

I almost always raise with A's.  You don't want to play them against a bunch of limpers.
The only time to limp is if you are pretty sure it will be heads up and the other player is very agresive.  Let them bet into you and then raise them if the flop looks safe.

All in is tough.  Seems AP always will give someone trips or a flush.  A very large raise but I am not afraid to drop them when I see a flush working against me.
