AA is good for 2 things in a cash game- winning a small pot, or losing a big one. If you want to play it you've got to be aggressive, because though it's a great starting hand, very few flops actually leave your hand in the best shape. It's easily vulnerable to a hand like J/10 or even a 5/6 with the right flop, so you've got to get it while you can and remember it's better to make 5 or 10 bucks on a hand than it is to lost 50 or more when it gets drawn out on.

This is just plain wrong.  Yes, opponents can hit the flop and overtake your hand.  However, if you've narrowed the field like you should by raising properly, then you should still be ahead after the flop a substantial majority of the time.

I agree Arjon.  If you've raised enough to narrow how many opponents you're up against pre-flop, then you should be extremely confident that your hand will win.  Now we all know that the occasional miracle flop hits, and we lose because of it.  However, you should always be aggressive with A's, and try to maximize how much you can win anytime you have it.

Lots think that AA is a good hand - but agree with first post - i personally prefer J9 or Q10

I think that you must push hard with this hand pre-flop, if not watch out what can get you if too many people call you.  This hand is a dangerous pair if not played right, so don't be affraid to fold.  I know it's hard to fold a pair AA's but if you think you've played it too slow and someone got you, just fold...

some ppl can slo play AA but in 99% of times if you don't go all in with AA you are setting urself up for disaster...you call & someone will call with a low pr or lo cards & hit everytime, at least if u go all in & everyone folds you get something, & even if i lose going all in i'd rather lose that way than get outdrawn by trash Smile

some ppl can play AA slow but most can't, you just have to decide on whether u can or not, i've seen ppl slo play & win a bundle, but i've seen 99% lose slo playing, it's usually a luck thing Smile

When I play AA, or KK..
I'll raise 20% of my chips, or 20% of the highest opponents amount of chips.... whichever is lower...

that should take care of anyone playing JT or 56.. and if someone is playing a pocket pair... they're paying more than they will get in return
