how to play a set in omaha

Fold immediately !! You won,t even beat a pair of ACES. Fold all sets unless tripp Aces you may want to see a flop. !!

On the full table its no brainer, fold it with no hesitation, its only a pair with small chance to become set. But if you play heads up you have some chance with it specially if the 4th card you got is suited with some of your Ks.

I would play that hand on.......

a. late position with only limpers just cause its cheap.... a flop is always nice even though that fourth K to actually GIVE you trips is hard to find, and chances of getting a straight or even a flush are slim, but cheap flops are always nice

b. Heads up or maybe a really shorthanded cashgame

Got to play the set extremely aggressive since straights and flushes are very prevalent.  Omaha is a different monster as you have to pretty much have the nuts to win.

The golden rule of omaha at a full talbe is to fold trips.  Although I might play a hand like AAA2  even that is tricky.  You are playing with only three cards - one of your trips is basically a duplicate - why put yourself at a disadvantage.
