Don't Play Drunk

i tend to agree with that.  However, i have a good friend who comes home from the bars at night and plays online poker tourneys at AP.  Just in the last month i have witnessed him cash out close to 3 grand, all playing drunk.  i hate that guy.

only play drunk when other are worse.  i play online while drinking but never live to nervous but i get bored online.

As a general rule I would have to agree with you.  There are extreme cases though, like myself, where I think drinking at the table actually gives me an advantage.  I wouldn't advise this to anyone unless you have severe anxiety, which I do.  I am so anxious and panicky during live poker sessions that my hands will shake really bad.  Because it's impossible for me to just "calm down" I find the thing that works best for me is to drink literally 4-5, sometimes 6 beers.  I don't get drunk really.  It just kind of levels me out and I'm calm and I can focus better.  Just a thought.

Personally I kind of like it when a drunk plays.  I need all the advantage I can get and It seems many times sober people take longer to play trying not to make a mistake.  So I say to all…..please have more than a few prior to sitting at a table with me.

there s nothing better to me than to have a good ole cold beer and play online poker.ya just got to keep it within the limits.as much as i love playing and drinking ,once your realy buzzed you kinda don t give a shit and that can destory your bank acct. or get you knocked out of a tourney early.so keep the drinking in prespective.

I think limit is the key.. Sure have a few cold ones.. But if the stakes are high live or online.. Sober is the way to play.

Then again with freerolls.. Heck suck 'em back.. Its alot more fun hat way!
