Bonus Clearing: What's your approach?

I know a lot of other people use NL Hold Em to clear bonuses, but I prefer to use Limit Omaha/8. Usually play the 1/2 or 2/4 tables where available. I like the fact that the game is mechanical and my decision making is easy (keeping me from any substantial losses while trying to clear).
I'd like to hear what other people do.

I usually play Limit Holdem (2/4 or 3/6), but recently I've been playing more NL ($.25 up to $2).
I tend to look for tables with at least 7 people, and also use the Avg. Pot Table in the lobby (at AP) to determine just how loose the table is. I stick to my conservative style, and when playing NL wait for an opportunity to double up. If that opportunity doesn't come, I usually lose very little money yet still am effective at clearing my raked hands requirement for bonus.

I see a good point in playing Omaha for clearing the bonus. I don't actually play a lot Omaha but 2 or 3 days ago I liked it very much.
I use the strategy of rambojr3 but I play at lower limits like 0.25/0.50. I think if I play at hight stakes I can lose a significant amount of money and there will be no point in playing just for clearing the bonus.

It all depends on the rules for clearing the bonus.
At Party, which gives you points for all raked hands, I play .10/.25 Pot Limit Omaha, either hi or hi/lo depending on what is available. Omaha also seems to be the way to go to get FPP at PokerStars.
If the site counts a raked hand at .25 (like the Prima sites) I generally stick to .50/1 Limit.
I was pretty annoyed when a lot of the rooms moved up to .50 minimum rake, especially Absolute, because they are very generous with the re-load bonuses. You have to play at least 1/2 limit now to clear them.

I play the $1/$2 limit holdem tables and always play the full tables. If I don't get at least 8 rakes in the first two rounds and break at least even I leave. If you get in at a good table with a few macho idiots and play tight it is easy to clear the bonuses and come up with a profit on top of it.

I use Omaha H/L. It usually give you back the most money because of all the outs and if you get into a decent amount of pots and you don't lose much of your money.

It,s such a scam. like chasing a pocket str8. I spend twice the amount to clear the Bonus because once your sucked into it, you can,t let go !! But my only advice could be,, play 10cts nl,,, if it only takes $5 to rake because these games often make the rake.

I think it depends exactly what are the terms and conditions of the offer. One think I particularly don't like is when the site says that you have to contribute to the pot for a hand to count. That doesn't suit my tight style at all (low level NLHE) .

If your game isn't good enough to win money while you're clearing bonuses, then this is good advice.
In terms of there being enough money out there in freerolls, it depends on your point of view. If you're satisfied to make a buck or two per hour freerolling, that's certainly feasible. But if you want to make $5 or $10 or more per hour, then you need to play buyins, although not necessarily ring games.

There is a lot of free money out there in freerolls, but like Arjonius mentioned, you have to play for hours to hopefully win a couple bucks. Yeah, it piles up over time, but if you can make money consistantly playing cash games, why not take advantge of free money that way? Same church different pew. We both want the free money, I'm just willing to risk a little of my money along the way.

I used Omaha hi/lo to clear bonuses because you get big pots. But i get sucked into playing and end up losing with good starters. SO i just don,t play to clear bonus anymore. It,s not worth it !!
